Why do many cricket lovers hate MS Dhoni so much, despite the most successful Indian Captain?

We humans always look for pattern everywhere, we are comfortable seeing strategies which follow from logical deductions; so when we see a guy who is seemingly instinctive yet immensely successful, we tend to become uncomfortable and label him as merely lucky.

At  the very start of his career, no one ever thought that he is going to  be a superstar in Indian cricket. When he made his career best score of  183*, no one hated him. Everybody who followed Indian cricket enjoyed  his performance. No body criticized his technique. All of a sudden, in  the span of just years he captained Indian team to the glory of maiden  t20 world cup. Since then he knew he has a responsibility. His team  needs him. He knows his limitations well than any other.

He knows that  he can't score against a quality attack when the ball is new. He knows  when the team has got a good start and there are not many overs left he  has got to be there more than anyone. He knows his power, strength and  his weakness. People started calling him selfish. A lot of people  started to hate him. A lot of team management issues happened under his captaincy. He usually gives a player a long rope of chances even though  he isn't playing well. Since then he was accused of being loyal to some  people whom he loved and not loyal to some whom he didn't.

He is definitely the most successful Indian captain and the greatest ever to have had stood behind the stumps and captain his team. he has done exceedingly well to win almost all the competitions that the ICC has held. He has managed to steer CSK to consecutive IPL wins and Champions League glory. He led team India to their maiden t20 world cup and to their second one day world cup. It's only under him that India has ever reached the ever elusive no 1 spot in test cricket. Acknowledging the above facts one might ask why Indians hate MSD, the greatest Indian captain, an agile wicket keeper and the best finisher to have ever graced the game.

Here are some reasons which can change your perception towards MS Dhoni

1. Because he has captained India when we won T-20 world cup 2007 , ODI World Cup in India itself and test ranking 1.

2.Because he is a wicket-keeper and we tend to forget that India had to be content with Parthiv Patel , Dinesh Kartik for wicket-keeping who couldn't score above an average of 25 even in tests.

3.Because we tend to forget that he is the most successful wicket-keeper batsman India has ever produced.

4.Because we tend to forget that he maintains that lofty average at no 6 no 7 positions competing with the greats like Mr. Bevan .

5.Because we tend to forget that he is the captain of the most-successful side in IPL .

6.Because we tend to forget that he had been the key architect of one of the most convincing and demolishing victories over Pakistan in ODIs.

7.Because we are too jealous of the fact that a player from Jharkhand is a captain of India because of our hatred for states like Bihar and Jharkhand.

8.Because we tend to believe that Dhoni should make India win overseas series with England, Australia  despite of the fact that none of the batsmen has performed. Even Sachin has failed to score a good decent century being the key batsmen in the side . Then Dhoni is merely a wicket-keeper whose job is to provide flexibility at the bottom. Yet he is the most successful batsman in ODI series against England in England.

I am very happy when people call MS Dhoni lucky because that could make India win world cup and most importantly provide this great below with what he deserved the most  :

Whatever his batting technique may be in the eyes of people , I will always cherish this

9. Because we believe that if a player does well (Kohli in particular) and is aggressive , he should be made captain without looking at the fact that cricket is a team game . Captains alone don't win games.

10.Lastly because we believe that the series losses to england and pakistan have been bigger than winning world cups.

And finally for those who still don't value above facts :
